Job Description

Centrillion is seeking a creative, energetic, resourceful and success-oriented organic chemist to join a multidisciplinary research team developing new technologies for nucleic acid sequence analysis.

  • PhD in organic chemistry, including training and practical laboratory experience in synthetic-, physical- and bio-organic chemistry.
  • Expertise in the use of methods of instrumental chemical analysis instrumentation, such as HPLC, MS, NMR, FTIR, etc., is essential.
  • Experience with nucleoside, nucleotide, and oligonucleotide chemistry.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with polymer and surface chemistry is also desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute independent and collaborative research projects.
  • Hands-on attitude and innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Co-authorship on one or more publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Qualifications
  • Plan and carry out research experiments involving synthesis and modification of nucleotides and oligonucleotides; and the analysis of their characteristics in various biochemical reactions.
  • Collaborate with and/or supervise other research scientists & associates on relevant joint projects.
