Job Description Summary
The College of Science, Technology, Mathematics and Health Sciences at Eastern Oregon University is recruiting for an online adjunct instructor pool to teach courses in the area of Health & Human Performance. Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities would include online classes in the fields of health education, physical exercise, exercise science, nutrition, and kinesiology.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in exercise science, community health, physical education or a related field from an accredited institution at the time the appointment begins.
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level is required.
  • Documented evidence of online teaching experience in higher education

  • Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check. Having a criminal history is not an automatic bar to employment.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Eastern Oregon University does not sponsor applicants for employment visas.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in exercise science, community health, physical education or a related field; candidates nearing completion of their doctorate (ABD) may be considered.

Compensation for online adjunct instructors varies by student credit hours and/or student enrollment:
* Undergraduate classes enrolling 15 students or less: $47.50 per student credit hour
* Undergraduate classes enrolling 16 students or more: $760.00 per credit hour
