Exercise Specialist in Grand Island, New York

Company: Trilogy Wellness

This is a part-time position working out of our Grand Island Fitness Facility

Must be available for the following hours: Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-8pm, Fridays from 10:30am-6pm.

The Exercise Specialist holds credentials that qualify them to work with medically compromised as well as non-medically compromised individuals. They should have leadership qualities, be passionate about fitness, hard-working, able to solve problems and take initiative.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Exercise Science or a closely related field is required.

Current certification in CPR/AED (hands on program required) and First Aid required

Personal Training certification from nationally recognized, accredited organization (e.g. ACSM, NASM, NSCA etc.) is preferred

Group Exercise Primary certification from nationally recognized organization (e.g. AFFA, ACE, NASM) is preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

Effectively and enthusiastically provide MOG services to members, patients, and clients.

Member evaluations

Exercise Prescription and updates

Manual stretch, Percussion gun, and Compression pump services

Personal Training

Nutrition Services

Medical member (1v1) Services

Provide safe, effective, and engaging class instruction

Entering all data appropriately into software systems and proper tracking of members

Building Relationships with clientele to achieve specific business goals

Assist with Revenue Generation to achieve specific business goals

Reporting monthly metrics and monthly reports for membership retention

Monthly metrics- transitions, quarterly evals, transitions, med-fits

Monthly Reports- Expirations, Renewals, MIAโ€™s, member evaluations

Handling day-to-day member issues / concerns

Participate and engage in staff meetings

Assist teammates in community outreach events, health promotion projects, and student internships

Reports to the Fitness Manager
