Summary
Adjunct faculty will share their knowledge and mentor students in the discipline of exercise physiology where the effects of physical activity affect physiological systems of the human population. Adjunct faculty member will teach the Exercise Physiology lecture and associated laboratory courses in the undergraduate Exercise Science program at Ursuline College Campus of Gannon University.
Responsibilities
Adjunct faculty member will be expected to:
  • Develop and disseminate traditional face-to-face lectures to address course learning objectives
  • Prepare and facilitate laboratory activities to address course learning objectives
  • Evaluate and grade assignments and assessments and provide to students in a timely manner
  • Manage (at minimum) the grade book using the online learning management system (D2L Brightspace)
  • Respond to students promptly and positively to support them in an inclusive environment

Courses include:
  • EXS 270: Exercise Physiology
  • EXS 270L: Exercise Physiology Lab (*two sections)

Qualifications
Master's degree or higher from an accredited academic institution in Exercise Physiology or related discipline (e.g., Exercise Science, etc.) required. Preferred qualifications include previous university-level teaching experience in exercise physiology; Exercise Physiologist certification and/or laboratory experience in exercise physiology; adult CPR/AED certified.
