Position Title Assistant Professor in Environmental Science and Public Health Program Job Description
Mississippi Valley State University is seeking a dynamic individual to join the department of Natural Science and Environmental Health as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science and Public Health. Department of Natural Sciences and Environmental Health program offers a rich academic environment with undergraduate programs in Biology and Chemistry, as well as master's programs in Bioinformatics and Environmental Public Health. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse faculty and student body, engage in cutting-edge research, and contribute to the advancement of environmental health knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Teach graduate-level multidisciplinary courses in environmental science and public health.
Participate in curricular development and assist with academic assessment goals.
Mentor and provide academic advisements for all NSEH students.
Support the EH program accreditation process, curriculum development, and other assigned duties in the department.
Develop an active undergraduate and graduate research program.
Work collaboratively with others in the department to establish externally funded research grants.
Conduct publishable research in peer-reviewed journals.
Engage in departmental, university, and community services.
