Ciena's Wavelogic family of products has been at the forefront of optical fiber transmission solutions, revolutionizing the telecommunications industry for over 30 years. Join our vibrant team of experts as we design advanced high-speed analog circuits in cutting-edge deep-submicron CMOS and BiCMOS technologies.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Collaborate with layout team members to deliver full GDSII solutions for integration.

  • Deliver electrical interface-facing ADC-based SERDES solutions for 224G and 448G.

  • Design circuits such analog-front-end & CTLE, FFE, track and holds, time-interleaved ADCs, high frequency clock generation and distribution, phase interpolators, DACs, serializers and analog circuits such as LDOs, OTAs and bandgaps

  • Characterize test chips and product implementations in Ciena's state-of-the-art lab alongside the Analog Macro Integration team.

  • Share insights and updates regularly with the team to drive innovation and excellence.

The Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Analog Circuit Design

  • Completion of a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Proven experience designing in advanced BiCMOS and/or CMOS technology.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to technical challenges.

  • Exceptional organizational, written, and oral communication skills in English.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Calibre, Synopsys STAR-RC, and MMSIM.

The Assets:

  • Experience with 2.5D or 3D electromagnetic tools like HFSS or EMX.

  • Familiarity with mixed-signal design validation using cutting-edge probing and test equipment.


Pay Range: The annual pay range for this position is $114,000 - $182,000

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
