Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States

Job Description

TCS is searching for a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer to join our strong team of Engineers supporting our Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) customer in Huntsville, AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attacks. The selected candidate will use modern tools to further the development and sustainment of the GMD system.

Role:

The selected Sr. Cyber Security Engineer will support the GMD Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the GMD Fire Control (GFC) product.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related work experience, or a PhD and 1 year of related work experience, or 9 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment
  • Recent development using Python
  • Recent experience in software development related to Test Automation
  • Experience/Exposure to Test Automated GUI driven tools – Eggplant specifically
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), development of requirements and multiple system engineering models
  • Definition of high-level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
  • Experience in documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents
  • Applicants must have a current DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (ex: Security + CE)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using Jira, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
  • Proven ability to work across product teams to produce program-level solutions
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
  • Must be able to work in the office, on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development/Computer Science discipline(s) with 4-6 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience
  • Recent and strong understanding of Python development language
  • Experience using Jenkins and Elasticsearch
  • Recent and strong experience in Eggplant Test Automation tool
  • Experienced leader in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Proven communications skills - Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux/Windows Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows 11.
