Job description

National Inspection & Consultants (NIC), an Element Company, is seeking qualified NDT Level I. Level II, and Level III Phased Array (PAUT) Technicians to support an upcoming NAVSEA project in Virginia.
Position Requirements

Level II Technicians must have:

- Documented NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Specific Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) training and experience
- Working knowledge of NAVSEA requirements
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-271
- Understanding of quality management systems and inspection standards used in naval ship construction and maintenance
Level I Technicians must have:

- Appropriate NDT training and experience in Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Phased Array (PAUT) training is preferred
- Ability to work under the direction of qualified Level II/Level III personnel
Additional Requirements

- Be able to pass an extensive background investigation
- Be comfortable working in confined spaces
- Be able to climb and work from scaffolding
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Be physically capable of standing, walking, climbing, and performing inspection activities for extended periods
- Be available to work up to 12-hour shifts
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and project requirements
