Job description

Description
A funded postdoctoral position is open in the Barth Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University. Candidates should have experience with molecular biology and AAV design and production, small animal surgery including stereotaxic brain injections, a background in bioinformatics and the ability to generate and manipulate large datasets, and familiarity with image analysis programs including ImageJ, Imaris, and MatLab. Applicants should also have experience with histological preparation of brain samples for immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy analysis. Pre- or postdoctoral training in neurobiology of learning and memory or disease is particularly useful. Candidates must have a strong publication record with primary authorship in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or related field.
