Red River Pharmacy Long Term Care – Little Rock, Arkansas

Red River Pharmacy Long Term Care is currently seeking dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians to join our growing team in Little Rock, Arkansas. We have several full-time positions available and are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional accuracy and customer service.

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists with prescription processing, order entry, medication preparation, inventory management, and communication with healthcare facilities to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Qualifications
  • Must possess an active Arkansas Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience is required.
  • Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Data entry experience is a plus.
  • Pharmacy changeout experience is a strong plus.
  • Order entry experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enter prescription information accurately and efficiently.
  • Process medication orders and maintain patient records.
  • Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations.
  • Communicate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare facilities regarding prescription orders and patient information.
  • Assist with medication packaging and preparation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Assist with pharmacy changeouts as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.
