Overview

Pharmacy Technician – Centralized Order Entry (COE)

 

PharMerica | Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time

We’re building a brand-new team and are looking for Pharmacy Technicians. Our 24-hour pharmacy offers multiple shift opportunities, including 1st shift, 2nd shift, and 3rd shift. Our COE team supports pharmacy operations by helping ensure medication orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and with excellent customer service.

 

We’re Hiring for Two Technician Roles:

 

Customer Service Pharmacy Technician
Serve as a key connection between the pharmacy, facilities, providers, and healthcare teams. You’ll answer questions, coordinate refill and delivery requests, gather patient information, assist with provider communications, and help resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

 

Pharmacy Order Entry Technician
Accurately enter and verify medication orders, perform basic drug calculations, assist with insurance claim issues, and support medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.

 

License Requirements

  • Active/Current Arizona Pharmacy Technician/Trainee License – REQUIRED
  • PTCB Certification - We’re committed to helping you build a rewarding career. New hires have 6 months to obtain their PTCB certification, and we’ll provide the coaching and development you need to reach this milestone

As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician you will:   

  • Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
  • Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.
  • Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing.
  • Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
  • Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies.
  • Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
  • Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.

Qualifications

 Qualifications 

Required:   

  • High School diploma or equivalent.  
  • Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.  
  • Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.  
  • Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.   

Desired:   

  • Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
