Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective medication management for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacy systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in a local community setting. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care, customer service and improving patient-pharmacist relationship.

Job Title: Pharmacist (Staff Pharmacist).


  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time.
  • Location: Conyers, GA
  • Hours: 19-38 hours per week (require flexibility and availability)


Qualifications


Education:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy

Licensure:

  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Georgia
  • License must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions.

Certifications :

  • Immunization certification for administering vaccines.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification (optional).


Experience:

  • Independent pharmacy experience preferred, New graduates also welcome.


Responsibilities & Duties

- Core Duties:

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide medication counseling to patients, educating them on proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions on prescription as well as over-the-counter drugs.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Conduct medication administration reviews to optimize therapeutic outcomes for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized medication plans based on patient physiology knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and assist in managing pharmacy software systems.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Offer and administer immunizations and other clinical services as allowed by law.

- Operational Duties:

  • Manage Pharmacy operations, including workflow and staff supervision.
  • Improve business revenue and profitability and grow business.
  • Manage accurate records
  • Handle inventory control to minimize waste and ensure medication availability.
  • provide education and support, training to pharmacy staff if needed.

- Community Focus:

  • Build relationships with patients and local healthcare providers.
