Chewy is looking for full-time Pharmacists to join our "online neighborhood pharmacy" in Pittston, PA! Our facility is dedicated to supporting the needs of online pet parents, ensuring they receive the medications their veterinarians prescribe for their pets. What you’ll do:  

  • Interpret and verify medication orders with precision and accuracy.  

  • Review prescriber medication orders for appropriate dosing, scheduling, contraindication, allergy, drug interaction, and/or incompatibility problems.  

  • Communicate effectively with Veterinarians, their staff, and Pet Parents as needed.  

  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and interns. Provide ongoing training and mentor as needed.  

  • Maintain accurate records to follow federal and state legal requirements and pharmacy policies.  

  • Uphold operational standards, including performance metrics, safety, and compliance.  

  • Perform additional duties and assignments as advised by management.   

  • Use multiple computer tools and programs to process prescriptions.  

  • Respond to incoming phone calls from veterinarians, technicians, and pet parents to provide efficient care to all patients.  

  • Complete medication count audits   

  • Collaborate with a team of pharmacists and adapt to changing work assignments.  

  • Other duties as assigned 

What you’ll need:  

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)  

  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania with license in good standing and other states and credentials as needed. 

  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and work in a variety of positions and locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking; for prolonged periods of time    

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong customer services and attention to detail 

  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
