Job Description: Job Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense medications for pediatric and neonatal inpatients.
• Prepare and verify sterile IV medications using aseptic technique.
• Monitor medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations to the healthcare team.
• Perform pediatric dosing calculations and ensure safe medication use.
• Verify physician medication orders and assess for interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing.
• Manage automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis and Carousel (preferred experience).
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate medication documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Support operational pharmacy services, including sterile compounding and medication distribution, based on experience.

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience, or completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency. • Inpatient/Acute Care experience required. • Active Connecticut Pharmacist (RPh) License required • PharmD preferred • Sterile compounding/aseptic technique experience preferred • Pediatric dosing experience preferred • Some pediatric or women's health pharmacy exposure preferred
