What Youโll Do
- Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge in accordance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, workflow, and staff coordination
- Supervise, train, and support pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support team members
- Maintain all required pharmacy records, documentation, and operational standards
- Oversee controlled substance inventory, reconciliation, and security procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards
- Lead quality assurance efforts and medication error prevention initiatives
- Coordinate inspections and respond to regulatory inquiries
- Monitor prescription volume, staffing needs, and operational efficiency
- Oversee and ensure compliance of compounding activities in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies
- Perform and oversee collection procedures, documentation, and chain-of-custody requirements for drug testing services
Requirements:
What Weโre Looking For
- Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license
- Minimum of 3-5 years of retail pharmacy experience
- Immunization certification and ability to administer vaccines
- Willingness to learn and perform USP 795 non-sterile compounding
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience with MTM, immunizations, and third-party adjudication
- Strong patient care and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Previous Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager experience
- Experience with PioneerRx and MatchRx software
