Job Description:

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable.

Required: Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
Experience:
As required by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board for Certification Exam

Direct customer and patient interactions
Exhibit problem-solving and organizational skill
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.
Required: Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire
