Pharmaceutical Sales Rep (Entry Level or Specialty)

We are happy to announce a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative opportunity in your area. Products promoted are new and very innovative. This opportunity is great for highly experienced industry reps or those looking to break into the pharmaceutical industry. You will mostly cover Primary Care physicians.

Purpose & Scope

Achieve territory sales goals by promoting pharmaceutical products and services to physicians and other medical personnel within assigned geography. Educate customers on the use, characteristics, advantages, indicated treatments, and all other developments related to promoted products. Professionally represent our healthcare products in the field and ensure high visibility and customer satisfaction. Maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively promote and educate physicians on our pharmaceutical products through oneโ€‘onโ€‘one meetings and group presentations, companyโ€‘approved promotional speaker programs, and other approved means.
  • Work in the field each week as needed for call planning, customer followโ€‘up, preparing presentations, making appointments, report generation, etc.
  • Ensure high performance levels of call and field productivity. Meet call plan expectations and achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to APUSโ€‘defined ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations.
  • Execute companyโ€‘approved product marketing plans and territory/regional business plan activities.
  • Support targeted customers using approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities identified by Sales Management.
  • Coordinate promotional efforts with peers across franchises and coโ€‘promotion alliance partners, and appropriately manage company equipment and approved promotional materials (e.g., sales materials, company literature, product samples) according to compliance guidelines.
  • Execute optimum territory sales strategy using the annual territory business plan, regional business plan, and call activity reports.
  • Accurately report/submit sales call activities, territory expenses, and written reports within the deadline defined by the Regional Sales Manager.

  • Manages territory responsible for several pharmaceutical products.
