Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Design Lead to support pharmaceutical manufacturing projects within a GMP-regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering design, construction, and capital projects for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, working closely with Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations teams.

Experience with Cost Control, Budget Management, and Project Accounting is highly preferred.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and support engineering and design activities for pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.

  • Coordinate engineering, construction, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams.

  • Support projects from engineering design through construction, installation, and completion.

  • Review engineering documents, drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.

  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and engineering firms.

  • Monitor project scope, schedule, costs, risks, and deliverables.

  • Support cost control, budget tracking, and project financial activities.

  • Ensure engineering and project activities comply with GMP, safety, quality, and company requirements.

  • Provide technical and project updates to internal stakeholders.

General Requirements

  • Experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing or GMP-regulated facilities.

  • Strong experience in engineering design and construction of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

  • Background in Engineering, Project Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field.

  • Experience with CAPEX projects, facilities, equipment installation, or infrastructure preferred.

  • Experience with Cost Control, Budget Management, and/or Project Accounting preferred.

  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and coordination skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work at least 3 days per week on-site in Añasco, Puerto Rico.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.

  • Project Management certification is a plus.

Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Engineering, Design, Project Engineering, Construction, or Capital Projects.

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with engineering design and construction for pharmaceutical manufacturing plants highly preferred.

  • Experience with CAPEX, Cost Control, Budget Management, or Project Accounting is a strong plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work on-site in pharmaceutical manufacturing and construction environments.

  • Ability to walk production and construction areas and wear required PPE.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
