Job description

Position Summary
Starting pay $18.00/hr
The Packager II is the full performance level of work, responsible for the filling, packaging, and proper labeling of various liquid and solid raw materials to produce a high quality finished product that is ready for shipment to the customer. This position is also responsible for the achievement of production, safety, and quality goals as outlined by their supervisor.
Essential Functions
*Operate various filling, packaging, and warehouse equipment including liquid fillers, sealing equipment, forklift, pallet jack, and shrink/stretch wrap machine.
*Work as part of a team to perform duties such as product filling (both liquid and solid material), labeling, box making and stacking final product on pallets.
*Inspect final products to ensure all quality standards are met.
*Identify ways to improve the production output process.
*Assist in training lower level Production Technicians.
*Keep work areas clean and orderly at all times.
*Perform other related duties, as directed by Lead Person, Supervisor or Plant Management.
Required Qualifications
*1 -2 years experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
*Ability to lift 50 pounds
*Demonstrate attention-to-detail, problem solving, and ability to work as part of a team
*Ability to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and standing for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
*Experience in the chemical, pharma, or engineered materials processing industries
