PGE is hiring a Senior Transmission & Distribution Standards Engineer(P3)/Transmission & Distribution Standards Engineer(P2).
This position will report to the Standards Engineering team, based in Portland, Oregon, and utilize engineering expertise to support PGE's transmission and distribution design and construction standards. In this role you will help to continually improve external stakeholder and customer experience by updating standards to ensure alignment with compliance standards, industry best practices and internal operational needs. You will support material failure analysis along with supplier qualifications and assessments. Assignments will relate to transmission and distribution standards, including overhead/underground distribution design, construction practices and materials, transmission line design, construction practices and materials, transmission and distribution construction tools, smart grid design and construction standards and equipment specifications.

P2 Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering or related field. ABET-accredited engineering program or program accredited by an equivalent agency preferred.
P2 Experience: Typically two or more years in engineering.
P2 Certifications, Licenses and Training: Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred; may be required based upon role.
P3 Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering or related field. ABET-accredited engineering program or program accredited by an equivalent agency preferred.
P3 Experience: Typically five or more years in engineering, or four or more years in related field with PE license.
P3 Certifications, Licenses and Training: Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred; may be required based upon role.
