Job description

Position Summary:
Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional in supervising, overseeing outside operations, coordinating staff schedules, Tournament Operations, Retail Operations, and Member Services.
Essential Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. To work under the guidelines set forth and developed by the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and the Director of Retail and all Sr. Assistant Golf Professionals in performance of, but not limited to the following duties:
Tournament Responsibilities:
To help develop, coordinate and run all Tournament Operations and activities including Sign-up Sheets, Pairings, Scorecards, Format Sheets, Program Books, Scoreboards and all other functions related to Tournament activity.
Teaching Responsibilities:
Jr. and Men's 9 Hole Clinics
Retail Responsibilities:
Work with the Retail Staff to administer and develop under specific guidelines given, all aspects of the retail operations, regarding scheduling staff, ordering and receiving, display and inventory of hard goods. Additionally, assist and help as directed regarding the sale of all merchandise in the Golf Shop.
Member Responsibilities:
Assist and administer as directed by the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional in the following areas:
  • Demo Day Promotions
  • All Demo Club Programs
  • Play with Members as scheduled

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing, supervising, and training Rangers and Bag Room Personnel
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.
  • Must be a Registered Apprentice with the PGA.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:
  • Must be a highly service-oriented individual with knowledge and demonstrated ability, along with the desire to be a Class A, PGA Golf Professional.
  • Additionally, must have knowledge of basic computer functions and become fluent in the following software programs: Tournament, Handicap, Retail, Microsoft Word, along with developing skills in our graphics software as well.
