Interventional Cardiologist

Heart Care Centers of Illinois (HCCI) | Chicagoland Area

 

Position Overview

Heart Care Centers of Illinois (HCCI) is seeking a full-time Interventional Cardiologist to join our established physician-led cardiovascular practice serving the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. This role includes a mix of clinic and hospital responsibilities with a strong focus on coronary interventions and comprehensive cardiovascular care.

Key responsibilities/services include:

  • Coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Peripheral arterial and venous interventions
  • Carotid and aneurysm interventions
  • ASD/PFO closure procedures
  • Structural heart procedures including:
    • TAVR
    • Percutaneous Mitral Valve Repair
    • Percutaneous Tricuspid Valve Repair
    • Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO)
  • Inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular management

The incoming physician will primarily focus on coronary and bread-and-butter interventional procedures, with opportunities to expand into structural and peripheral interventions based on training and interest.

Shared call responsibilities with 16 other physicians provide strong physician support and balanced work-life integration with a MondayFriday schedule.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, production incentives, and partnership/equity opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified / Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Completion of accredited Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Interventional Cardiology training programs
  • MD or DO
  • Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
  • Coronary interventional experience required
  • Peripheral vascular training and experience preferred
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and clinical excellence
