What is a pfd?

PFD stands for Personal Flotation Device, which is a piece of equipment designed to help a person stay afloat in water. PFDs are commonly used in boating, water sports, and other aquatic activities to enhance safety and prevent drowning. There are several types of PFDs, including life jackets and buoyancy aids, each suited for different situations and environments. It is important to choose the appropriate type and size of PFD for the intended activity and individual. Wearing a properly fitted PFD can significantly increase your chances of survival in an emergency on the water.

What are some typical challenges faced by professionals in the pfd role, and how can they be addressed?
