We're Looking For A: Production Crew Lead (Night Shift)

Location: Richfield, WI

Shift: Night (6pm-6am)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Maintain a safety and quality mindset and follow all safety and quality guidelines and/or protocols
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor, Production to relay team performance and identify opportunities to optimize performance on the production line
  • Set-up, operate, stage and breakdown production equipment and/or machinery within the assigned production area(s)
  • Locking and tagging out equipment during set-up, troubleshooting, or if adjustments need to be made to the equipment or machinery
  • Report any and all incidents regarding safety, quality and production to the Supervisor, Production, Manager, Production, Safety Manager or Manager, QA
  • Utilize scan gun to complete transactions within ERP system and complete all associated paperwork documenting the transactions
  • Support the production line by stepping in to assist the production line on an as-needed basis due to absences or breaks
  • Troubleshoot problems during operations and adjust machinery in cases of malfunctions or jams
  • Understand and be able to operate all equipment and/or machinery within the assigned production area(s)
  • Lead the manufacturing crew members while creating a positive and professional work environment
  • Maintain a consistent workflow by adhering to the production goals for the day and/or week
  • Ensure the organization and effectiveness of the manufacturing crew members, identifying challenges to troubleshoot bottlenecks and areas to provide additional support and/or training
  • Resolve first-level operational issues and escalate them as necessary to the Supervisor, Production
  • Support employees in others with various production related tasks and/or projects

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience operating machinery
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience working with ERP system (preferred)
  • Prior experience working in a food or pet food manufacturing facility (preferred)
  • Experience working with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) interfaces and comfortable with associated computer systems (preferred)
  • Lock Out/Tag Out certification (preferred)
  • Lift truck certification (preferred)
