Job description

Island Dog Pet Grooming Co. is looking for an experienced, dependable pet groomer to join our team at our Harbour Island salon in Tampa.

This position will begin at approximately two days per week, with the opportunity to grow to as many as five days per week as demand and the groomer’s clientele develop. It’s a great fit for someone who wants a part-time schedule now but is open to building toward a larger role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing full grooms, mini grooms, baths and related grooming services
  • Cat grooming skills a plus
  • Treating every pet with patience, kindness and careful attention
  • Consulting with clients about grooming preferences and pet needs
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and sanitary work area
  • Keeping accurate appointment and service information
  • Communicating promptly about health, behavioral or scheduling concerns
  • Supporting a welcoming and dependable salon environment

The ideal candidate:

  • Has professional dog-grooming experience
  • Produces consistent, high-quality work
  • Is comfortable grooming a range of breeds, sizes and coat types
