Job description

Pet Resource Center of Kansas City is also recruiting a small team of Backup Delivery Drivers to help support our monthly pet food delivery program when primary drivers are unavailable.

Backup drivers are trained ahead of time and contacted only as needed to help cover one of our five monthly delivery routes, when our primary drivers are unavailable.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who:

  • Wants flexibility
  • Cannot commit to the same weekend every month
  • Still wants to support PRCKC in a meaningful way
  • Enjoys independent volunteer work

Coverage needs do not happen frequently, but having backup support ensures we never miss a delivery for the pets and people relying on us.

What Backup Drivers Do
  • Serve as occasional substitute drivers for one of our delivery routes
  • Pick up pre-packed deliveries from our clinic
  • Deliver pet food and supplies throughout the KC metro
  • Help ensure continuity of support for homebound clients
Time Commitment
  • Typically 45 minutes–2 hours when scheduled
  • As-needed basis
  • Most often on weekends
Additional Notes

All supplies are packed and organized ahead of time, and routes are designed to be manageable and flexible.

Even occasional support in this role makes a tremendous difference for our community πŸ’š

All Volunteers MUST Embody PRCKC's Core Values: Be Helpful. Build Trust. Be Compassionate.
