Residential Pest Control Floater Technician - Central Houston
Join ABC Home & Commercial Services as a versatile Pest Control Floater Technician supporting multiple routes, teams, and service areas as needed. This role focuses primarily on general pest control but highly values candidates with Termite & Rodent (TR) experience, as it enhances your ability to assist across departments. If you do not have prior TR experience, please be sure to highlight any transferable skills on your rรฉsumรฉ. To be considered for this role, you must reside within a 10-mile radius of the 610 loop.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support various pest control routes and technicians based on daily operational needs.
  • Conduct inspections of residential properties to identify general pest issues.
  • Apply appropriate treatment methods to eliminate pests and prevent future infestations.
  • Educate homeowners on pest prevention strategies and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and follow-up visits.
  • Uphold safety protocols and company standards while working independently or alongside other technicians.
  • Perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, walking roofs, and accessing tight spaces when needed.

Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Termite Rodent (TR) Technician or similar pest control role.
  • Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and navigating tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics.
  • Ability to walk on roofs and perform physical tasks required for pest inspections and treatments.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must have a driving record of 5+ years.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Additional Information:
A "floater" is a versatile technician who is flexible to work in various roles or locations within the company, providing support wherever needed. This position offers a schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Candidates will undergo six weeks of paid training at $17 per hour, after which they are guaranteed a minimum pay of $1,850 per pay period before taxes, bi-monthly.
