Job description

2026 Sales Manager - Door-to-Door Division
Department: Sales and Marketing
Reports To: VP of Sales and Marketing
Location: New Castle, DE (Office); Bear, DE (Housing); Territories across suburban Philadelphia, Delaware, Salisbury and Eastern Maryland, and Eastern Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (April-September)
Company Overview
At Green Pest Management (GPM), we don't just grow teams-we grow leaders, entrepreneurs, and future owners. Based in New Castle, Delaware, GPM has grown into a trusted and top-rated pest control provider across the Mid-Atlantic, boasting over a decade of service excellence and 1,000+ five-star reviews. We are known for our culture of performance, accountability, and camaraderie-and our Door-to-Door Sales Program sits at the heart of that success.
As we launch into our 2026 Spring & Summer Season, we are seeking a high-caliber Sales Manager with a proven background in door-to-door sales (required) and preferably pest control sales to lead, inspire, and drive a top-producing team of Sales Representatives.
This is a frontline leadership position-not a behind-the-scenes management role. The Sales Manager is expected to lead from the field, mentor by example, and play a direct role in recruiting, training, and developing a team that delivers elite-level results.
Position Summary
The Sales Manager is a field-based, seasonal leadership role beginning in April/May and concluding in late August/early September 2026. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-output team of D2D Sales Representatives, overseeing training, territory strategy, daily execution, and performance tracking.
This role requires a deep understanding of D2D sales dynamics, including territory saturation, psychological resilience, pitch evolution, team motivation, and competitive performance pacing. You will work directly with the VP of Sales & Marketing and play a central role in maintaining GPM's standard of excellence in customer acquisition and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a D2D sales team across assigned territories, setting the standard for work ethic, professionalism, and production.
  • Participate in daily field work, offering shadowing, pitch adjustments, and real-time coaching.
  • Conduct morning meetings and end-of-day debriefs, focusing on development, accountability, and morale.
  • Track and report individual and team sales performance via CRM tools and internal dashboards.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, individual coaching plans, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and service coordination.
  • Support technicians and customer service staff with alignment between sales promises and service delivery.
  • Facilitate team culture by organizing and supporting events, contests, and celebrations.
  • Assist in recruiting and training new representatives during preseason or mid-season hiring pushes.

Required Experience & Qualifications
Applicants without Door-to-Door (D2D) experience will not be considered.
  • Proven track record in D2D sales (minimum of 1 season)
  • Previous experience leading or managing sales reps in a door-to-door or high-velocity sales environment
  • Pest control industry knowledge strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
  • Physically able to walk/stand outdoors for 8+ hours
  • Strong emotional intelligence, confidence, and people skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage diverse personalities
  • Self-discipline and commitment to goal setting and accountability
  • Comfortable handling performance conversations and resolving team challenges
  • Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and background check clearance required

Compensation & Benefits
This position is designed to reward leaders who drive results. Compensation includes base salary potential, commissions, and performance incentives.
  • Competitive commission overrides based on team sales volume
  • Base Salary
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to individual and team production benchmarks
  • Housing provided in Bear, DE with rent-back incentives based on team performance
  • Annual top-performer trip (location varies yearly)
  • Recruitment bonuses for bringing in qualified new hires
  • Access to weekly team dinners, cookouts, and leadership events
  • End-of-season leadership recognition and potential pathway to year-round employment or equity

Why This Role Matters
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a team from the ground up-one that contributes directly to GPM's continued expansion. The Sales Manager role is not only about making a team successful this summer-it's about setting a legacy of leadership, advancing your career, and potentially earning a long-term role in future branch development or ownership.
You will not be micromanaged. You will be empowered-but only if you can deliver.
Application Process
This role is highly selective and limited to applicants with verified D2D experience. We're not looking for desk managers-we're looking for field generals who know how to build, lead, and win with their people.
Complete the application and submit your resume. We will review your application details and follow up with next steps.
Green Pest Management is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to diversity and inclusion in all hiring and leadership practices.
