We are currently seeking an Apprentice Fumigator based out of our Sharon Hill, PA branch.

Responsibilities
As a Fumigation Apprentice with Western Fumigation, you will be provided with all the tools and training you will need to be successful in starting or continuing a career in the pest control/fumigation industry. If you are a self-starter, have a strong work ethic, and are seeking a new career or to expand upon existing experience and skills, this may be the right fit for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Assist with the completion of the fumigation process; sealing, tarping, introduction of fumigant, conducting readings, and aerating.
  • Use safety monitoring equipment to conduct readings
  • Read, understand, and follow labels and SDS forms for materials used during services provided
  • Inspect, maintain, and utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) properly
  • Follow proper safety guidelines, including but not limited following label, DOT regulations, and all client specified guidelines
  • Willing and able to bend, crawl, lift and carry for extended periods of time
  • Climb ladders and work at heights

Requirements:
  • High School/GED or better
  • Driver's license
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • CDL with HAZMAT a PLUS or the ability to obtain
  • This position requires the flexibility to perform nights, weekends and over-time
  • We will consider for employment all qualified applicants in a manner consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws

Physical Demands / Working Environment:
Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the following job duties with or without accommodations as well as the ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid):
  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions

Salary Range: $20.00 -30.00 per hour
