Job Purpose:
Performs duties of Supply Chain Asset Protection Lead as outlined. Will also be responsible for performing the duties of a Supply Chain Asset Protection Officer.
Key Responsibilities for this Role:

    • Responsible for training, scheduling, and leading their assigned shift(s) of Asset Protection Officers (APO) in the absence of the Asset Protection Manager (APM)

    • Maintains the staffing and execution of processes at the Facility Truck Gate on their shift
    • \t\t
    • Works with the Asset Protection Team to provide Asset Protection awareness and education as directed by the APM throughout the Facility
    • \t\t
    • Ensure effective verbal communication channels are maintained with APOs and AP management
    • \t\t
    • Assist in the development and execution of training for APOs
    • \t\t
    • Preforms other assigned tasks directed by Asset Protection Manager.

    • Implements various shortage control measures designed to develop leads for investigations as well as deter theft

    • Periodically audits departments for merchandise protection standard adherence

    • Walks the facility's floor to identify merchandise protection opportunities that deviate from company standards

    • Monitors Associate parking lots for unsafe conditions

    • Conducts patrol activity inside and outside the Facility to detect unsafe conditions, physical security risks or occurrences, theft risks or incidents, and shrinkage risks and incidents

    • Inspects parcels coming into and leaving the Facility
    • \t\t
    • Checks bags in accordance with Supply Chain bag check policy, check identification of persons entering the Facility, issues visitor badges, and notifies Facility Associates when visitors arrive

    • Monitors all Associates that leave the Facility and performs inspections of parcels they are carrying, in accordance with Supply Chain bag check policy
    • \t\t
    • Monitors metal detectors in select jewelry locations
    • \t\t
    • Utilizes the CCTV system to monitor activities inside and outside the Facility
    • \t\t
    • Verifies trailers and drivers as they arrive at the Facility and depart the Facility (i.e. proper seals, signs of damage or break-ins, loads)
    • \t\t
    • Communicates with drivers and enters information into the Yard Management System
    • \t\t
    • Assist in the execution of all Emergency Action Plans (EAP)
    • \t\t
    • Assist in Accident Investigations as needed
    • \t\t
    • Assist with the employment of the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
    • \t\t
    • Assists with AED, fire extinguisher, and first-aid training
    • \t\t
    • Proactively identifies potential acts of theft and fraud by observing team member activity (random bag checks, facility audits, documents behavior, installs cameras, etc.)

    • Interviews team members suspected of theft or fraud in accordance with company policies and properly documents all stages of the investigation

    • Utilizes the Supply Chain Investigations & Market Investigation teams when necessary for the development of internal investigations

    • Responds to all requests for information to investigative leads provided by members of these teams in a timely manner

    • Creates and manages records using approved Company methods for reports of apprehension, witness statements, retention of evidence, and disposition of recovered merchandise
