We are seeking a candidate with at least 1 year of personal injury paralegal experience who can step in and contribute right away. This position is in person and located in Fairfax, VA.

We are a personal injury and long-term disability law firm located in Fairfax, Virginia. We are good at what we do; have a terrific reputation and lots of good consumer reviews. Job Duties

As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you’ll play a key role in moving cases forward and supporting our attorneys from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating with clients, insurance companies, and other professionals
  • Opening and closing cases in our case management system
  • Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, demand letters, discovery, and correspondence
  • Preparing demand packages for attorney review
  • Organizing case files
  • Reviewing medical records and bills for accuracy and coordinating follow-ups
  • Filing pleadings with court clerks
  • Conducting legal research and investigating case facts
  • Supporting attorneys with case strategy and preparation

This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines will make a real impact.

Requirements:

Knowledge & Basic Qualifications

  • Should have at least 1 year of personal injury paralegal or law firm experience
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent required
  • Paralegal certification preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills—you’re the person who keeps lists and ensures everything is moving forward
  • Excellent written and verbal communication—you’re comfortable on the phone, whether making calls or answering them, and you speak up when something doesn’t look right
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new systems, including case management software to track case progress and report on status
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A kind and empathetic approach—our clients are often going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, and we aim to make things better, not worse
