Job description

A growing litigation firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its team supporting the Concord, California office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who enjoy handling complex litigation matters while maintaining the flexibility of a remote-capable position.

Attorneys in this role will manage cases from inception through resolution and have the opportunity to work on a variety of defense matters while collaborating with an experienced litigation team.


Key Responsibilities:

• Handle insurance defense matters involving personal injury litigation

• Manage cases from initial evaluation through resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

• Conduct depositions and attend hearings

• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation

• Maintain strong communication with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel


Preferred Experience:

5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience

• Strong background in personal injury defense

• Additional experience in landlord/tenant habitability, medical malpractice, or construction defect is a plus

• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload
