Job description

Our law firm is seeking a skilled and successful personal injury attorney to join our growing team and help clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. Our ideal candidate will handle case files from start to finish, have excellent credentials, a passion for helping people, and a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial case experience. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee personal injury case files from beginning to end
  • Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
  • Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather information
  • Investigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
  • Arrange suitable agreements and settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate
  • Learn, understand, and execute the firm’s personal injury case management process and procedures according to written and/or verbal instructions
  • Manage a portfolio of personal injury cases through the use of a variety of case management programs and procedures
  • Ensure the rights of the client, as well as the professional integrity of the firm, are preserved and maintained through professional expert representation in court or before government agencies
  • Prepare legal documents and negotiate settlements on behalf of injured clients

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
  • Three years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is a necessity
  • State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
  • Proficiency in computers is vital
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desired
  • Knowledge of personal injury law/tort law, medical terminology, and wrongful death law is vital

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to build rapport with clients

  • Excellent time management skills, be organized, and able to effectively prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent client service

  • Intermediate administrative and proficient computer skills are required

  • Candidate must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia
