Job Description
As a Security Officer Entry Permissions in Plant City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation before permitting entry in accordance with established site requirements.
  • Monitor and document the entry and exit of employees, contractors, visitors, vehicles, and materials; maintain accurate access logs and report discrepancies to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
