About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Program Analyst for USSOUTHCOM at the Resources and Analysis Directorate/Programming and Resources Division in Miami, FL.Qualifications:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Generate reports regarding manpower data to ensure allocation of resources needed to meet organizational requirements; 2). Conduct cost and economic analyses to determine the most efficient manner to accomplish missions; and 3). Ensure optimal allocation of funds to minimize discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13 or above).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
NOTE: If you are a current Army employee and want to be considered for a temporary promotion, reassignment, or change to lower grade, you must apply to Announcement Number SDSE-26-13046982-MP.
Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 3 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 3 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.Employment Type: OTHER
