Job Description:
We're seeking a skilled Web Developer to join the Stores XFN team , working at the intersection of technical SEO and modern web development. In this role, you'll enable and configure site-specific metadata, manage Robots.txt, implement permanent redirects, and ensure streamlined URL discovery and canonicalization across Meta's marketing websites. Your expertise will be critical in optimizing site performance through Server-Side Rendering, monitoring site health, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop internal SEO tools.
Responsibilities
Enable and configure site-specific metadata for Meta marketing websites:
Use and maintain Robots.txt to manage URLs and disallow un-necessary URLs.
Use permanent redirects (301s) to preserve page equity when migrating URLs.
Use 404s to indicate when Google should no longer index and rank a page.
Provide the right URLs to discover via: Accurate XML sitemaps, Internal URLs which are accessible (not 404s), Hreflang
Canonicalizing URLs to de-dupe for Google indexing
Site-specific monitoring, alerting, triaging, and actioning: 404/500 errors, site performance, and speed metrics
Enable/configure SSR, when appropriate, to optimize for crawler performance
Partner with product & engineering to build and utilize internal tools to maximize SEO
Develop SEO optimized HTML/XML and content
Requirements:
Web Developer with 5-7 years of experience in technical SEO, including site performance, metrics, accessibility, sitemaps, structured data, and tooling.
50/50 of SEO and front end coding
HTML, Javascript and CSS
Must-Have Skills
Strong web dev experience not just seo manager. SEO expert with experience writing custom code
Strong understanding of technical SEO
Worked within a large team setting. Min 15-50.
Fortune 500 marketing website, Major B2B or B2C
Any Google or SEO certifications
Full stack engineering. React
