FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector.
Essential Job Functions
  • Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, procedures, and processes
  • Collect or select samples for testing or for use as models
  • Inspect, test, or measure products and materials for conformance to specifications
  • Use measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometers, rulers, calipers, or gauges to measure dimensions of products and to verify conformance to specifications
  • Compare materials with samples to verify conformance to standards
  • Complete Attribute & Variable Data Sheets, which include recording of test data, weights, status, and quantities
  • Notify supervisor about products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
  • Regularly communicate with management to ensure all guidelines are being met
  • Follow standard work instructions
  • Perform other duties assigned

Other Job Functions
  • Comply with FIC's Safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
  • Perform 5-S activities
  • Work company required overtime, as needed

Requirements
Level 1
  • Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools
  • 1+ years' experience in Quality Control
  • 1+ years' experience in Manufacturing
  • ERP experience is preferred
  • Level 1 Pay Range $17/hour - $24/hour

Level 2
  • Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools
  • 3+ years' experience in Quality Control
  • 3+ years' experience in Manufacturing
  • ERP experience is preferred
  • Level 2 Pay Range $25/hour - $29/hour

Pay Range $17/hour - $29/hour based on qualifications and experience
Level 1 $17/hour - $24/hour and Level 2 $25/hour - $29/hour
Additional Compensation We operate two shifts and 2nd Shift employees are given a $1/hour shift differential
