Job Location: 1675 Delaware Street, Chandler, AZ 85225
Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday,6:00am - 4:00pm
General Summary and Main Functions:
Participates in implementing the JB Henderson quality program and assures conformance to applicable quality requirements in the fabrication shop.Implements quality control related processes for welding and special processes, inspection and test, material test and equipment (MT&E) program, receiving and inspection of materials as applicable, and all associated documentation. Verifies compliance of the welding program. Coordinates with various levels of the organization in support of quality improvement.
Perform quality control inspections while keeping pace with shop production (includes fit-ups, welds, final QC, parts & primer inspections). Records and maintains inspection records for quality assurance per JBH, customer, and/or code requirements. Coordinates and performs inspections as required. Works with the team to receive and inspect materials to ensure spec and quality adherence. Maintains compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) throughout the quality control process.
Education and Experience:
  • Current Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) strongly preferred
  • Three to five years of fabrication shop welding inspection experience
  • High purity stainless steel and specialty plastics inspection experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Good written and oral reporting and documentation skills
  • Ability to read and interpret piping shop drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to identify construction defects, recognize nonconforming items and process deviations
  • Knowledge of ASME and AWS codes applicable to pipe fabrication.
  • Detail oriented

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
