RESPONSIBILITIES

Position oversees overall loss control service direction, coordination, and evaluation of new business and dedicated accounts in their respective regional office.

Helps to ensure quality accounts are added to the portfolio while also assessing individual account service needs once bound.

Monitors loss development on the book of business and readily performs and deploys loss control resources where needed to maintain profitability and retention of key accounts.

Co-ordinates and oversees service account internal and vendor loss control activities, providing feedback and coaching to maximize performance based on predetermined standards.

Determines how best to align internal and/or specialist service providers based on technical skill sets.

Responsible for performing account coordination, directing work, quality assurance, problem solving and solutions management.

Acts as an underwriting and customer technical resource for key industries and casualty lines of coverage, including product liability, to help make betterโ€‘informed pricing decisions.

Assists in preโ€‘sale meetings with large, highโ€‘profile accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 5+ years of risk assessment, commercial insurance operations or private industry risk management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance coverageโ€™s and underwriting process.
  • Fully effective interpersonal, writing and communication skills required to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify priorities, commit to and meet deadlines in a fastโ€‘paced, selfโ€‘starting environment.
  • Demonstrated success in team building, multiโ€‘tasking, problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
  • A deep understanding of product liability exposures, controls and experience preferred.
  • Significant complexity and/or size of book of business.
  • Account management experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working directly with underwriters, brokers and insureds.
  • Excellent planning and negotiating skills; strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; advanced proficiency in computer applications and software.
  • Typically working toward (or obtained) an advanced degree and/or professional certification in CPCU, AU, ARM, CRM, CFPS, CSP, CIH, CPE, etc. is desirable but not required.
