Loan Operations and Credit Admin Assistant
Job Summary:
The Loan Operations and Credit Administration Assistant will assist the loan department in efficiently servicing the bank's loan portfolio while ensuring strict compliance with state and federal regulations. This position will adhere to bank policies and procedures necessary for quality control, internal and external customer service, appraisal vendor management, loan exception management, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities:
--- Effectively service loan portfolios, including new loan/renewal/modification bookings, maintenance,
notices, payment posting, research, and other loan-related tasks.
--- Create and foster excellent communication with co-workers, lending staff, customers and any
external clients or vendors.
--- Manage titled collateral safekeeping, database, and exceptions reporting.
--- Process paid-off loan files, including the filing of real estate mortgage releases and other collateral
releases.
--- Effectively manage the bank's independent appraisal/evaluation program by processing lender
orders, maintaining logs, ordering from appropriate vendors, coordinating reviews, delivering final
products, and paying invoices in a timely manner.
--- Responsible for data imaging of required loan file documents as necessary according to established
processes.
--- Approve loan department imaging batches and maintain quality control for permanent retention.
--- Assist in loan-related General Ledger account monitoring and clearing.
--- Assist the department with exceptions management and clearing processes.
--- Maintain a working knowledge of loan software programs, applicable guidelines, state and federal
regulations, and industry lending standards.
--- Research, resolve, and communicate issues and inquiries reported by the loan and lending staff.
--- Manage the bank's construction inspection process.
--- Maintain strict standards for data security and confidentiality.
--- Research and provide loan information requested for audit and periodic departmental reporting.
--- Assist the Credit Administration and/or Compliance Departments as needed.
--- Reach company deadlines by promptly following-up on information requests.
--- Provide customers with general information on loan services and processes.
--- Exhibit exemplary attendance, reliability, and punctuality.
--- Comply with company policies and procedures while always considering efficiency and productivity.
--- Perform other duties requested by supervision as they relate to the bank and its functions.
--- Continuing education as required.
