Job description

Job Description:

Are you a hands-on worker and a problem-solver who likes working independently? Do you enjoy meeting new people and travelling to new places? Have you been seeking a long-term career but keep hitting a dead end?

Look no further than Modern Pest Services! Pest management is a pandemic- and recession-proof industry where you'll make a meaningful difference in the health and safety of your community while maintaining independence and ownership over your own work. While licensed applicants are preferred, no licensing is required to qualify for this role!

What You'll Do:

Modern Pest is seeking a Pest Control Technician to service our clients in Attleboro, MA and the surrounding towns/cities. In this role, you'll spend your day on the road solving pest challenges, building long-term relationships with your clients, and protecting homes and businesses from dangerous, destructive, and disease-carrying pests.

  • Upon successful completion of our paid training and onboarding program, you'll have earned your state-specific pesticide applicator's licenses and be ready to work independently.

  • Each morning, you'll leave your home and drive to your first client's home or business to begin your day.

  • At each stop on your schedule, you'll spend time building and maintaining rapport with your clients, assessing the true extent of the infestation or pest-related damage, customizing and executing an effective and safe treatment plan, and offering education and preventative measures to avoid future pest issues.

  • With new challenges and puzzles to solve every day, you'll utilize your critical thinking and expertise to ensure that our communities remain safe and healthy.

At Modern Pest, we value hardworking individuals with a strong customer service mindset, and welcome those seeking a new opportunity, a career change, a supportive team with growth opportunities, and a management team that sets you up for success.

You'll Spend Your Day:

  • Traveling to and from client residential and commercial locations in your company-owned vehicle along a pre-scheduled route.

  • Conducting thorough interior and exterior inspections to monitor pest activity, identify possible entry points, and create both immediate and preventative pest management plans.

  • Offering sound advice and education to clients on both chemical and natural pest control remediation options.

  • Spraying perimeters of homes and structures for termites, ants, and other insects, or using bait or traps to eliminate rodent infestations.

  • Recommending products and services for long-term, effective pest control, such as our eco-friendly, all-digital SMART solutions.

Position Details You'll Want to Know:

  • Paid training and in-depth orientation

  • 2 weeks of Paid Time Off and 8 Annual Paid Holidays in the first year of employment

  • Employer-provided uniforms

  • Advancement opportunities within both Modern Pest and our parent company, Anticimex

  • 10-hour day, 4-day workweek following completion of the Introductory Period (at manager's discretion based on business needs and individual performance.)
