Brief Description

The Specialist in Loss Prevention and Asset Protection is primarily responsible for preventing financial losses caused by theft, fraud and security support, while maintaining strict security. They use tools to minimize losses to the Company, which include, among others, the identification of incidents of theft and fraud, monitoring of the physical security of the store and audit.

Responsibilities:

  • Report on falls, slips, blows or any other situation considered as incident in which a customer or third parties have participated.
  • Inform the companies of surveillance and theft, fire alarms of technical difficulties that may need service.
  • Create and delete the alarm access code change the access codes every three months.
  • Supervise the web portals of mysonitrol.net and the Cox business detection portal.
  • Supervise compliance with operational and physical safety standards.
  • Monitor department operations on a daily basis to verify any violation of company policies regarding security, property and personal risks.
  • Obtain quotes, proposal about surveillance detection providers.
  • Manage projects related to the surveillance and detection of current stores, gas stations, corporate offices, Campo Rico and nearby.
  • Advise stores and service stations in the development of loss prevention investigation procedures.
  • Collaborate with the police to investigate and resolve cases of external theft or fraud.
  • Investigate or interview a person suspected of theft, fraud, theft or theft in a store, be it a customer or an employee.
  • Advise on the implementation of new policies to minimize the risks for the company, such as theft, collisions, falls, endorsements

  • Maintain, update and control all relevant evidence.
  • Record non-compliance of company procedures and policies on activity report every week.
  • Interact regularly with management and store partners on Loss Prevention associated matters to explain and improve theft awareness.
  • Ensure to maintain safe and secure store environment.
  • Inspect parking lot and back stock area regularly.
  • Ensure physical security and safety standards are followed through receiving dock and various controlled areas.
  • Focus on frequency and severity of accidents for all coverage lines.
  • Develop and implement controls along with loss prevention strategies to attain elimination goals and accident reduction.
  • Respond to all emergency conditions like safety hazards, fire, threats to life or property etc.
  • Conduct Enforcement and protective duties to ensure customer and employees safety and security of property.
  • Develop and maintain records of interviews, witnesses, apprehensions, disposition and evidence of recovered merchandise
  • Prepare, review and complete all paperwork associated to audits plus other shortage control programs.
  • Ensure to complete all reports related to incident and investigation for loss prevention.
