Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (weekdays and weekends); 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity

Highlights:

• 10-bed Cardiovascular ICU specializing in cardiothoracic surgery patients including CABG, valve replacements, thoracotomies, and carotid endarterectomies
• Direct care of fresh open-heart admissions from OR requiring expertise in pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension; blocked schedules considered
• Cerner EMR system; 24 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Activated Clotting Time (ACT) experience required

Requirements:

• Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Activated Clotting Time (ACT) experience required
• Direct experience with open-heart admissions from OR, cardiac surgery skills, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT
• Proficiency in arterial line management, continuous IV sedation, ventilator management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility location
