Position Summary

B Capital is seeking a Vice President/Director to join our Capital Formation team, reporting to the Managing Director, Capital Formation. This is a fundraising role, responsible for building relationships with strategic investors and raising capital across funds and co‑investments. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of raising capital for private funds or private companies and can translate ideas into action in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate, drive, and close new LP commitments across institutional, family office, wealth management, and high‑net‑worth channels.
  • Manage the full fundraising cycle: mapping the universe of prospects, sourcing and nurturing relationships, leading outreach, and coordinating diligence through to close.
  • Partner with the MD of Capital Formation, Investor Relations team and investment leadership to refine fund positioning and tailor messages to different LP segments.
  • Prepare and customize fundraising materials (presentations, data room content, DDQs, RFPs, track‑record and portfolio analyses) in support of capital‑raising efforts.
  • Build and maintain a high‑quality pipeline and CRM discipline, including tracking interactions, feedback, and probability‑weighted opportunities.
  • Leverage and deepen relationships with gatekeepers and intermediaries (consultants, private banks, placement agents, and other capital partners) to expand the firm’s reach.
  • Represent B Capital at LP meetings, conferences, and industry events, serving as a credible, front‑line fundraiser for the platform.
Basic Job Requirements
  • 6–10 years of capital‑raising experience in venture capital, private equity, private credit, or adjacent alternatives, ideally in one or more of the following:
  • Fundraising/capital formation at a PE/VC or alternative investment manager
  • Fundraising at a placement agent firm
  • Private company fundraising or private capital advisory at an investment bank or a leading private tech company
  • Demonstrated experience raising capital from Endowments, Foundations, Pension Funds, Funds of Funds, Wealth Managers, and/or Family Offices.
  • BS/BA degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong project‑management skills and comfort running multiple fundraising processes in parallel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for sophisticated institutional audiences.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, and discretion in handling LP relationships.
  • Role can be based in New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.
  • Experience in technology investing and/or keen interest in technology is highly desired.
Key Competencies
  • Bring an existing, relevant LP network and a demonstrated ability to open doors and convert interest into commitments.
  • Be comfortable with financial analysis and portfolio/track record analytics (including performance metrics, fund cash flows, and cap table dynamics).
  • Understand emerging technology trends and their implications for both disruptors and incumbents.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, high performance culture and enjoy building alongside a growing platform.

B Capital invests globally in extraordinary founders and businesses shaping the future through technology. With $10 billion in assets under management and dedicated stage‑based funds, the firm focuses on seed to early‑ and late‑stage venture growth investments, primarily in the technology, healthcare and resilience tech sectors. Founded in 2015, B Capital has an integrated, global team across nine locations in the U.S. and Asia. The firm’s value‑add platform, together with the consulting expertise of its strategic partner, The Boston Consulting Group, provides entrepreneurs with the tools and resources to scale quickly and efficiently, expand into new markets and build market‑leading businesses.

B Capital Global US LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under federal, state or local law.

The salary range is $300,000 to $500,000 and will be commensurate with relevant experience.

The salary range applies to New York and California candidates only. The actual salary may be subject to change.
