Job description

Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industry—an industry worth over $400B. Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

Dandy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Finance Systems to lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our core finance systems. The initial focus of this role will be on our NetSuite environment, with the scope expanding over time to encompass additional systems supporting the Procure-to-Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report processes. Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you will be a key leader in driving efficiency, automation, and scalability within our finance operations. You will be both hands-on with system configuration and process improvement, as well as effectively managing technical resources to deliver more complex technical solutions. This is a critical role for a functional and technically savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

What You'll Do

Build & Shape the Finance Systems Function: You will be a key leader in defining the structure and setting the vision for a high-performing Finance Systems function. You will help define roles, responsibilities, and growth paths within the team as it expands.

Create Scalable Solutions: You’ll define, build, and optimize the processes, methodologies, and tools that will shape how we utilize Netsuite, and other Finance systems across the organization. This includes setting standards for system configuration, data management, integrations, and reporting.

Implement Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for system configuration, data integrity, user management, security, testing, and deployment across all finance systems. You'll ensure that all finance systems are built with rigor and are scalable and maintainable in the long term.

Manage Technical Resources: Effectively manage and guide technical resources (internal or external) responsible for delivering NetSuite SuiteScript development, API integrations, and other technical requirements for finance systems.

Foster a Data-Driven Culture within Finance: Advocate for the use of data-driven insights within the Finance organization, leveraging system capabilities for reporting and analysis. Ensure that the Finance team has the data they need to drive accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and efficient decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience managing or leading projects within finance systems, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced, growth environment.

Proven Functional & Process Expertise: You have 5+ years of experience working with core finance systems, with deep functional and process knowledge across areas such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Order Management, and Procurement.

Hands-on NetSuite Experience: Significant hands-on experience with NetSuite configuration, administration, and ideally, a working understanding of SuiteScript and integrations.

Technical Aptitude: A strong understanding of system integrations, data flows, and the ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications. You are comfortable working with technical resources.

Experience Building & Scaling Systems: You have experience in implementing new finance systems or significantly scaling existing ones to support growing business needs.

Strategic Thinking & Execution: You can define a long-term vision for finance systems while also implementing the tactical changes needed to make that vision a reality. You are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on involvement.

Collaborative Leadership: You are a strong communicator and collaborator, capable of working with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Engineering, and Operations stakeholders, to ensure alignment and drive impactful finance systems initiatives. You know how to break down complex system issues into simple, actionable insights for non-technical teams.

Process-Oriented & Detail-Oriented: You’re experienced at designing and implementing processes that drive rigor, consistency, and efficiency across finance workflows. You thrive in environments where systems are optimized for high performance and scalability.

Bonus Points For

Experience working in mid-sized high-growth companies.

NetSuite Administrator certification.

Experience working for a manufacturing company.

Experience with other finance systems relevant to Procure-to-Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report processes

Experience managing both internal and external technical resources.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Hex).
