What You'll Do

As a valued member of our Intellectual Property team, you will:

  • Draft, prepare, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications
  • Conduct patentability studies, freedom-to-operate analyses, and competitive landscape reviews
  • Advise clients on patent strategy, portfolio development, and intellectual property protection
  • Represent clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Partner with inventors, engineers, scientists, and business leaders to identify and protect valuable innovations
  • Assist clients with risk assessment, patent enforcement, and intellectual property disputes
  • Support IP due diligence efforts related to business transactions, investments, acquisitions, and licensing agreements
  • Stay current on changes in patent law, industry developments, and emerging technologies
  • Build strong client relationships through exceptional legal counsel and responsive service

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Registration and good standing with the USPTO
  • Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
  • Strong knowledge of patent law and intellectual property principles
  • Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical background in one or more of the following:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Software Development
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Biotechnology
  • Experience conducting freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement analyses
