Job description

Our client, a premier global law firm, is seeking a mid-level Antitrust & Competition Associate to join its highly regarded and expanding antitrust practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with experience in antitrust litigation, merger control, or both, who is looking to work on some of the most sophisticated competition matters in the market.

The practice advises multinational corporations, private equity sponsors, and other leading organizations on high-stakes antitrust litigation, government investigations, merger clearance matters, and competition-related regulatory issues across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on antitrust and competition law matters, including merger review and regulatory clearance processes.
  • Represent clients in antitrust litigation, class actions, government investigations, and enforcement proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to complex competition law issues.
  • Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, regulatory filings, and client communications.
  • Assist with merger review matters, including Second Request investigations and related regulatory proceedings.
  • Support clients facing government investigations involving cartel allegations, price-fixing, monopolization, unfair competition, and other competition-related issues.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice areas on cross-border and multidisciplinary matters.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in antitrust litigation and/or merger control.
  • Strong substantive knowledge of antitrust and competition law.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience handling sophisticated litigation, regulatory, or transactional antitrust matters.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Candidates within approximately the third through seventh year of practice are particularly encouraged to apply.

Base Salary Range (Depending on Class Year):

  • Class of 2026: $225,000
  • Class of 2025: $225,000
  • Class of 2024: $235,000
  • Class of 2023: $260,000
  • Class of 2022: $310,000
  • Class of 2021: $365,000
  • Class of 2020: $390,000
  • Class of 2019: $420,000
  • Class of 2018: $435,000

Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses based on performance and other factors.
