Bodyshop Estimator
Location: Cable Dahmer of Topeka
Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 base plus commission (negotiable with experience)
Monday-Friday | No Weekends!

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair estimates, working with insurance companies, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Responsibilities:
-Greet customers and assess vehicle damage in a professional and courteous manner.
-Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software (e.g., CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell).
-Communicate with insurance companies to obtain approval for repairs.
-Explain estimates and repair process to customers in a clear and understandable way.
-Coordinate with technicians, parts department, and body shop manager to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
-Update customers on repair status and answer any questions throughout the process.
-Conduct post-repair inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
-Maintain accurate and organized records for all estimates and repairs.
-Stay up-to-date with industry trends and insurance company procedures.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional technical or automotive training a plus.
-2+ years of experience in collision estimating or a related field.
-Proficiency with estimating software (CCC, Mitchell, or Audatex).
-Strong knowledge of auto body repair processes and terminology.
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to stand, walk, and inspect vehicles for extended periods.
-Ability to work in various weather conditions.
-Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
