Job Description
- Schedule and monitor review of nondestructive testing specifications/requirements
- Set-up, operate, calibrate and perform Process Control Checks on NDT equipment by following established instructions and record results. Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required and outlined.
- Complete required logs and statistical data sheets as required
- Supporting customer and 3rd party audits including NADCAP and ISO9001
- This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the positions role within the business unit
Requirements:
- Position requires an intimate working knowledge of principles, theory, and practical application of nondestructive inspection
- Must have a Level II with a minimum of 4 years of experience Magnetic Particle and Penetrant product as a Level II and be willing to become ASNT Level III certified
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong NDT history in the aerospace/aircraft manufacturer a plus
- Proven experience as assembler
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
- Can work with others to develop solutions but does not require constant supervision
- Can deal with change and pressure with shifting priorities, deadlines and goals
- Will respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems
- Has strong problems solving skill and understands cost
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident because of ITAR restrictions
