Job description

Ingles Markets is looking for an Order Selector in the Perishables Department for its Distribution Center located in Black Mountain, NC. As an Order Selector, you will:

  • Select and fill grocery orders from stores.
  • Ensure all items are properly and securely stacked on pallets.
  • Drop off completed pallets on the loading docks for shipment.

Compensation Information:

  • Pay starting at $20.82/hr.
  • Multiple shifts - shift differential may apply.
  • Start earning Paid Time Off day 1 (FT).
  • Weekly pay with direct deposit.
  • Opportunities for advancement.

Employment Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Will conduct a Criminal Background Check.
  • Must pass an E-Verify Screening.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perishables department temperature ranges from 28-50 degrees.
  • Extensive standing.
  • Constant lifting of cases to be placed on pallets with some heavier cases weighing up to 75lbs.

Experience

  • Will train the right candidate.
  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must want to work and have excellent attendance.
  • Must be willing to learn and pay attention to detail.
